CHiME Music was founded in 2021 to run choirs and musical groups in Cambridgeshire, beginning with the well-established choir, Foxton Singers.
Musical Director
Our musical director, Philip Atkin, has been playing the piano since he was seven. He joined his first choir, MagSoc at Queens’ College, Cambridge, when he was studying at University. He joined Foxton Singers in 1999.
Philip has been musical director of Foxton Singers since 2006. He founded Girton Community Choir in 2011 and was musical director there until 2014. He was a founder member of Ad Hoc Singers, an acapella group based in South Cambridgeshire. He has also conducted numerous school groups and choirs in Cambridgeshire over the years performing with them in such venues as West Road Concert Hall and King’s College Chapel.
